Sunbursts Share Your Shutters Winner for Fall 2017

Darren Zuckerman

Congrats to Sunburst’s newest Share Your Shutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters highlights a few spots in her home decked out with stylish new Polywood faux wood plantation shutters that beautifully accentuate both her home’s architecture and her own personal style.

Chelsey, who some may recognize on Instagram as Taste of Coffey, is a Boston-based home designer with an eye for color in her home design. Just one look at her photos shows how she mixes and matches whites, off-whites, and muted shades for a look that’s warm and calming, but fashionable all at the same time.

She even offered some advice for designers in New York City and around the country:

  • Always have a color scheme. When you decorate a room, you can always adjust colors to accessorize it. Try to pull in shades from either your home’s color pallet or ones that will accentuate it.

  • Be fluid in how you use colors. We picked white shutters and most of our furniture includes shades of gray, both weathered wood and fabric. So we decided to add in pops of color and white accents.

Not only does Chelsey have a great eye for color, but her use of space in her home is on point, too. From the chairs she uses that lead the eyes vertically to the wall and her beautiful shutters, to her choice of shelving under the casement window, Chelsey’s house is fashion-forward, functional, and altogether cozy without ever coming close to feeling cluttered.

As our #ShareYourShutters winner this season, Chelsey will receive a gift card to a Boston-area restaurant, in addition to featuring her designs here. To see more of her work, visit her personal site at
